I woke up, sand got in. All the webs around me were covered in sand. I don't know why we make webs—i don't think we even make them, think it's just a bug population—but it's always a sign that humans can get in. I got up and cleaned all the sand off. I haven't even introduced myself yet. We don't have names, only numbers, but i like to call myself Dawn, named after my favorite human-made song Dawn Chorus. I often think about how we are sentient. We're pretty much amalgamations of dead meat left on the sand that has somehow evolved into life. I know we're not literally dead meat from fallen animals, but that's basically what we are. Actually, i think the bugs make webs out of left over meat we make. Also, why is the meat white? The meat i usually find outside is red. Because we're just meat, we can freely change how we look; and because we kinda have Brains we can just become other species. If we find their meat though. I have been planning on invading a human ship ever since it landed a couple days ago. We usually do that together, but i'm the only one adventurous near it, plus i think i'm fine. I also recently found out that you don't even need to find dead meat to become someone else. If you've already found the meat and it's part of you-ish, you can just become it. I became a scorpion or whatever they're called on this planet. Not saying i was a human, but i actually have no idea what these stuff are called and i just learned from human notes. That's also how i learned english. While i was walking over there i thought about why we're covered in a weird film of some kind. Probably to cover the meat. When i was in eye distance, i became one of the scorpions and scuttled through a tiny hole. Becoming a creature is somehow less and more painful than you think. It was dark, but i was able to turn on the flashlight that was now embedded in my skin. I was able to scurry into the main entrance and turn normal again to open the door before becoming a scorpion. The reason i entered the hole was so i didn't need to deal with humans. I entered the main hull thing. I immediately tried looking for a morgue. There was on according to a map, but it was all the way on the other side of the ship. Never fear, the holes are here. I found it and started morphing into it. The thing is, i need something else. Near where the morgue was, was a stash of exoskeletons for turning into humans, and fake skin. All i had to do was go over there, without going through holes. It was only two of the most crowded hallways on the ship, how hard could it be? Actually, easy. I had read notes about when the hallways get less used and it was about that time. All i had to do was wait about 4 minutes. I filled that time by thinking about why lower class people like me look like many pieces of meat, while higher class individuals don't, they actually look like a species. I went over there and grabbed an exoskeleton, wrap around it, and put the skin on. All of this was for getting more info by talking to them. I spoke with like 4 people that looked important and the leader about some very neash things and went home with it. I turned in my notes when i got home and a couple hours later was told i needed to come in the leader cave. I had been in there before, but i was asked to enter through a different entrance. One that was tightly guarded. While i entered i felt weird squishing, warping, and other stuff, as well as webs, and skin coverings. When i came out i was inside the leaders den, actually looking like a species. They congratulated me on 25 successful data collections and awarded me with actual skin stuff. Unfair. Everyone should get it, and that's why i wrote this. For me, it was easy to get 25 data captures, but for other people: no. I hope you enjoyed my plea to the government to make people enjoy having this because why lock it down?

(Inspired by something the user salarua put in the ampersandia discord general channel, and dune, and maybe alien) I woke up, sand got in. All the webs around me were covered in sand. I don't know why we make webs—i don't think we even make them, think it's just a bug population—but it's always a sign that humans can get in. I got up and cleaned all the sand off.
